Lord, I wait on You and listen for Your voice. Speak to my heart about the things I need to hear. Teach me all I need to know. Thank You for the great blessings that await anyone who waits at Your door and listens for Your voice. In these times of waiting on You, may the character of Christ be formed in me and my faith be increased.
Lord, help my children to make godly friends. I know that You brought us here and You will not leave my children forsaken. I’m concerned that in their need for acceptance they’ll end up with friends whose moral standards are not as high as Yours. Bring godly role models into their lives.
The enemy wants to steal our peace and keep us stirred up, anxious, fearful, upset, and always in a stance of waiting for something terrible to happen at any minute. The enemy wants us unable to forget the terrible things that occurred in the past and instead remember them as though they happened yesterday.
As prayer warriors, we must remember that no matter how hopeless a situation may appear to us, God gives us power in prayer to do something about it.
We may be overwhelmed by it, but God isn’t. We may not see a way out, but God can. Because of Him, we can make a difference!
Lord, I thank You that Your plans for me are for good-to prosper me and give me a future and a hope. Help me to obey You in every area of my life so that I don’t do anything that would thwart Your plans for my future. I seek You about my future now and ask You to help me to hear Your voice leading me every step of the way.
Jesus made it possible for us to have the peace that passes all understanding-the kind that carries us, stabilizes us, grounds us, and keeps us from slipping.
Greater is Your Spirit in me than anything else that tries to bring me down (1 John 4:4). You redeem my life from the pit and crown me with love and compassion (Psalm 103:4).
We can’t ever allow ourselves to get into the situation where we believe we don’t need to worship God. We must not think for a moment that nothing can shake us-that we don’t need God and we can’t fail. We must not have a false sense of security and suppose we don’t need to pour ourselves out before the Lord in praise and empty ourselves before Him in humble worship. We cannot imagine for even an instant that God’s rules don’t apply to us.
We are faced with the need to communicate, compromise, submit to one another, and be unselfish. A tall order, to be sure. Either God has a tremendous sense of humor, or a desire to keep us continually growing. Probably both. God
Ultimately, you are a picture of our Father God to your wife and your children. If you can be trusted, it will be easier for your spouse and your kids to trust their heavenly Father.
