It is one of the gifts of great spiritual teachers to make things simple. It is one of the gifts of their followers to complicate them again. Often we need to scrape away the accumulated complications of a master’s message in order to hear the kernel of what they said. (24)
Leaders don’t call unhappy followers “ungrateful people
On the subject of who is to blame for our disunity – “The easy conclusion- that
the devil is at work trying to destroy the church- is true, but it’s not the whole story. Of
course the enemy is at work doing that. But closer examination shows that much of
the blame falls squarely on the shoulders of the church itself-on believers in god-and
how our own devilish deeds have alienated other followers of God. Sadly, we’ve done
the devil’s work for him.
A strong team consists of people who know how to follow a leader.
Leaders don’t hide good news from their followers. As long as they discover knowledge, they share knowledge. They leave part of them with people they meet; hence they are hardly missed when they are gone.
People do not recognize that you can do it when you merely tell them you can. Until they see you doing it, they won’t follow you. Leaders who are willing to go further alone today are those to be consulted for solutions tomorrow.
The best thing is to walk on the right path without looking back, without knowing who is following you because you must walk with your own speed, with your own freedom! Your followers will catch you or your ideas somehow somewhere ahead, somewhere in time!
Some people around a person have a mysterious way of showing their dislike towards him, as they like regularly almost everything that he says or shares on his social media account.
As long as Satan is loose in the world and our hearts are dominated by his evil passions, it will never be easy or popular to be a follower of Christ.
If [Christian leaders] do not teach Christian principles to all followers of Christ, we are not equipping them with God’s truth that will
overcome worldly influence.
