We can transform our lives by renewal of our mind.
This year has taught me the simple craft of belief. I believe in the things I’ve nurtured and built this year. Slowly but carefully. Such as understanding, knowledge, passion, strength; the hundreds of songs I’ve written, the 365 poems, the books I’ve read and the miles I’ve run. The resolution to breathe, to meditate, to not harm my mind or body even when I’ve felt like it.
have a mind so quiet,
that you can hear doves whispering
as they rest their wings
in the rafters your silent sanctuary
Mediation on the Scriptures will renew your mind.
If you move enough, your muscles change and grow. So does your mind. The brain initiates movement. But it is, in its turn, remade by movement. New cells are born; new vessels sprout. The same process operates body-wide. No cell in your body is unaffected by motion. Your very DNA is changed.
If knowledge is lacking, your destruction is inevitable.
There are things you need to know that you already know.
The world makes much less sense than you think. The coherence comes mostly from the way your mind works.
NOTE TO SELF – BOOMERANG EFFECT
My words, thoughts and deeds have
a boomerang effect.
So be-careful what you send out!
Sometimes both your mind and thoughts are paying the cost of your stupid heart.
