Know, child, that the One God-He is so vast that He cannot be moved, else the Universe falls. Nor can He answer, for the very act of opening His Mouth is Movement, indeed the greatest Act of all, for it is the Word. And this is precisely why He has made an infinity of lesser gods, creating them in His own image, so that we can do the lesser things on His behalf. We are His hands and arms and feet and mouths. We are His answers to your prayers, enacted along the great Framework of Being.
God cares about those in need, and so should His people.
For once in my life maybe I ought to actually think about taking God at His word, and in doing so to suddenly find myself riotously welcoming the rather shocking reality that Christmas is truly everything that He says it is.
In the beginning was the word, and primitive societies venerated poets second only to their leaders. A poet had the power to name and so to control; he was, literally, the living memory of a group or tribe who would perpetuate their history in song; his inspiration was god given and he was in effect a medium.
Take good care of your final word. If your final say will hunt you in day’s ahead, then hold back the words, and let silence speak.
When you view yourself through the lens of God’s Word, you will better understand God’s love for you and the worth you have in His eyes.
Examine your heart and put away any distraction so you can worship God freely.
Thought before word, never word before thought.
Still, I don’t like his use of the word fine. I want to be better than fine.
You perceive the force of a word. He who wants to persuade should put his trust not in the right argument, but in the right word. The power of sound has always been greater than the power of sense… Give me the right word and the right accent and I will move the world.
